Heathfield is set in an attractive 'green site' on the edge of Taunton. Students come to the school from both the rural area and Taunton itself. We thus enjoy the dual benefits of a very pleasant learning environment and easy access to the Town. In recent years, the school site has undergone considerable expansion to provide well-equipped facilities for our students and for the several hundred people who regularly use the site after school hours. These developments have included a Library/Learning Resource Centre and three new networked computer suites. The Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre provides us with facilities for Music, Drama and Dance to compare with any school in the country. The school now enjoys excellent sporting facilities, including a new floodlit all-weather pitch and additional tennis and netball courts. Sixteen new purpose-built classrooms have recently been added including a new Science lab and the £1.3m Chris Bowers Centre for Humanities and Modern Languages.
