A group of buildings ranging from elegant 19th century to state-of-the-art science labs houses the 11-16 age group. Average class sizes are around 17, depending on the subject and the set. Pupils have access to a broad and interesting curriculum, taught by an outstandingly committed and stable staff. Some have written internationally recognised textbooks on their subjects. Others have vital qualifications and experience in co-curricular activities. The facilities are impressive by any standards. A high-speed IT network links over 150 computers, the majority grouped in one of three dedicated suites around the site but many positioned in individual classrooms. Teaching is increasingly linked to the use of interactive whiteboards which are being introduced across the campus. Games facilities are equally good, with a large sports hall and Astroturf complementing the 30 acres of immaculate playing fields.
